Universal Health Care

  • I truly believe that everyone deserves health care coverage because any form of medicine nowadays costs an amount of money that not many people have on hand normally.

Universal Health Care is something I want to learn more about which is another reason why I chose this topic. I want to learn more about the current laws that are in place about it but at the same time, express why it makes most sense to make health care available to absolutely everyone.

Some personal experiences I have with health care is that I am allergic to peanuts and hazelnuts and because of that it makes most sense for me to have an EpiPen.  I’m not sure if it is with or without insurance, or even both situations but EpiPens are now over $600…which is ridiculous considering an EpiPen could be the life saving device for someone who comes into contact with an allergen.  It is like the government does not want to save people who come into contact with any thing they could possibly be allergic to.

My whole goal with this project is to see why our health care system is the way it is, if there is any research or information I can find on how to make it better, learn more about ObamaCare and what Trump has in mind, etc...

  1. Hello, Elizabeth
Your project talks about the problem we face today. In fact, healthcare is expensive worldwide, but the United States has the the highest rates in health coverage. I suggest you to look into the pharmaceutical companies and how the industry works and how they take advantage of desperate ill individuals
here is a link you may want to take a look at.

  2. It really is ridiculous how expensive Epi Pens are especially because they are so cheap to make and can end up saving someones life.
